The Rio Hills is a multipurpose enterprise located in Maricá, RJ, bordered by the Lagoa de Guarapina. It was the winner of the Americas - International Property Awards in 2011, as the best residential architecture. The first phase is composed of 223 lots for single use and a social headquarters with ample leisure structure. The second phase has a mixed-use product consisting of six commercial stores and 110 multifamily units, a hotel with 62 rooms and an aparthotel with forty apartments.
The concept of the whole is based on the principle of

integration between the various products, through the creation of social points that stimulate the pedestrian, as well as the incentive to practice sports, with trails and cycle paths. Environmental preservation was strongly considered: the project maintains an alignment band of the lakeside and landscape conservation along the lagoon. The typologies use the contemporary architecture to reinforce the unique identity of the development.
