The Palermo Cranes, landmarks of the city landscape for 30 years, are the initial cause for the harbor revitalization. Taking advantage of its structures we propose a cultural and recreational center, with a square on the ground floor. The architectural proposal starts from the relations between the various interventions in the history of Sicily, particularly taking into account the scenic and ornamental of its Baroque.

The Cranes and the new square allow versatility of uses and different types of events and exhibitions, with spatial configurations that vary in function of the displacement of cranes. These volumes contain a cultural center, exhibition spaces, library, multipurpose room, coffee shop, restaurant, and terraces.
